Carol Forsythe, Organist

Carol moved to Lake Wylie from Minnesota in 2005. Her first experience with RHCC was as the accompanist for The Music Men beginning in the fall of 2005. Carol always had a significant part in the music and worship at her previous churches, so if RHCC was to be her church home, she needed to find out if she could contribute to the music and worship programs at RHCC. Her prayer on a certain Monday while heading to rehearsal with the Music Men was that Kevin Gray (former minister of music and worship at RHCC) would have some little role for her to have in the worship services. The first thing Kevin said to her that Monday was,our Organist is retiring; do you want to audition for the job? Though she had started organ in high school, Carol had not played organ regularly since then because piano had become her main instrument; but after saying that prayer on the way to rehearsal, she knew that this was God's doing, and she said yes to the audition, and her new adventure began. Carol has commented many times that being the RHCC organist/pianist is the best job ever! She and her wonderfully supportive husband, Jerry, have three adult children and four charming, adorable, rare, outstanding, loving grandchildren.
